fit girl candy cravings

We are all human, we all get those evil cravings for something to satisfy our sweet tooth. I have come across a few snacks to help keep calories at a reasonable level and keeping your waist in check at the same time.
Yum Earth's organic sour worms are 176 cals because they are made with organic fruit juice and come in flavor packed options like tangy tangerine

Skinny cow's divine filled chocolates are 130 delicious cals in the peanut butter option plus the healthy fats in the protein can help keep hunger at bay
Last but not lease is the Surf sweet's jelly beans which stand at 140 cals and these are also organic and it turns out that from one serving you can receive your days worth vitamin C!

I have to admit to you...I am a huge sucker for fitness clothes... I am more likely to buy some running shorts and a sports bra over a cute cocktail dress any day and what is even better is when I can find a deal on those said clothes!

Aeropostale has created a women's workout line in active, yoga, and lounge all items being under $30!!! What more can I ask for? oh and right now they have free shipping.

Cookie Recipe

Cravings. we all get them. its a lovely little neurological thing that happens in our brains so that when we eat these items we crave it creates a bliss in our minds....temporarily!

So today I had one of these moments and I decided to work my way around it by creating a healthy alternative for a cookie.

The recipe is very simple:
2 mashed bananas
2 table spoons of peanut butter
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
1/2 teaspoon baking cocoa
1 cup oatmeal/quick oats
a dash of cinnamon

nom. nom. nom.

Watermelon

Watermelon is a traditional summer staple when it comes to snacking for kids and adults all over.
Sure, they are tasty and in season but there is so much more going on with this delicious fruit!
They are about 90 percent water....giving hint to the name watermelon.

They are low in calories...actually 1 cup serving is only 46 calories and contains about 12mg of Vitamin C so go ahead and have another bite :)

Another random tidbit of info... the seeds are also completely edible so no worries when you swallow one!

Meal prepping tricks

Okay, so I know we hear people talk about it...and people either say it makes their fitness life easier or the others say they just do not have the time. Well.. I say give it a try naysayers!!

I can easily tell you that at first it was a lot of trial and error for me but I now have this down to a quick science where I can make meals for lunch & dinner for my boyfriend and myself in no time.

I make each of our meal with a protein, some form of green veggie, and a carb/starch for each meal.
But the way to make your life easier when doing this is to plan, plan, plan! Always write down your ingredients even clean eating needs a basic list.

Counting out the proper amount so you have enough of each item for every meal will save you from going where the hell is the last pieces of chicken for my 6th meal?!

Do your cooking all at once so you can do one major clean up, I am always cooking my chicken/fish and my asparagus at the same time while I have the rice or green beans going..my kitchen looks like I am opening a restaurant.

These are just a few little helpful hints that make my life easier.
